Emily Susan Crim Wells

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Emily Susan Crim (Em/Emmie) announce her peaceful passing on Monday, May 19,2025 at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va. She was 62 years old.

Emily was born on May 26, 1962, in O’Fallon Illinois. She was the youngest of four children. Being from a military family, she moved around a fair amount but grew up mainly in Germany and Maryland. In 1985 Emily earned her BA degree from Mary Baldwin College and in 1988 she earned her AA degree in nursing from Montgomery College. Her career as a registered nurse spanned nearly 40 years, most of which was at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville Va. Emily loved baking, traveling, Jo Malone, smooth jazz, fuzzy socks and her sister’s fruitcake and crab cakes. She was devoted to her family, friends, patients, coworkers and especially to her beloved husband Dominick and their dog Morris.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years Dominick Wells, siblings William Crim DDS(Tina), Dwight Crim(Jeannette),Lisa Galioto MD(Frank),sister-in-law Susan Kozlowski(Brian),nieces and nephews, Hunter Crim, Mackenzie Crim, Nadia Pelaccia(Franco),Nancy Hassan, Rachel Villa-Crim Taylor(Lee)as well as several great nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous friends. She adored her family and friends with all her heart .

The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at UVA Medical center for their expertise, care, and compassion towards Emily in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, Va. The service will be held on June 7 at 3 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 2 PM. A private burial will be on June 9,2025 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Maryland.
