Mr. Fred H Reese

Fred H. Reese, Sr., 84, of Charlottesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the University of Virginia Hospital. Fred was born on December 8, 1934 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mabel Reese; two brothers, Charles Reese and Ernie Hooper; and grandson, Seth Reese. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 65 years, Mildred Reese; son, Fred H. Reese, Jr. and wife Jeannie Reese; two daughters, Susan Smith and husband, Eddie Smith; and Sandy Buck and husband, Scott Buck; four grandchildren, Dusty Buck, Jes Smith, Tyler Reese, and Rylee Smith; and one great-granddaughter, Natalie Buck. Fred retired from the University of Virginia, Building and Grounds with over 37 years of service. He loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed working in the garden, and he was a loyal UVA sports fan. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 am on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Cherry Avenue Christian Church, 1720 Cherry Avenue, Charlottesville.
