Gail Malin

Born in Winston-Salem, NC to James Harrison Lassiter and Mabel Healy Lassiter. Graduated from Chatham Hall (Chatham, VA), Finch College (NY, NY) and Duke University (Durham, NC). After working in advertising in New York City and marrying Robert A. Malin in 1960, Gail devoted herself to her family and community leadership in Summit, NJ and Vero Beach, FL, including her active, decades-long involvement with Calvary Episcopal Church, the Summit Garden Club, the Reeves-Reed Arboretum, and McKee Botanical Garden. She was an accomplished cook, gardener, hostess, homemaker, and athlete. Gail was known as a fun-loving and fiercely loyal friend to her many “buddies” from every chapter of her life.

Survivors include children Alison (Scott), Robert (Coleen) and five beloved grandchildren. Gail is also survived by her brothers Allen (Mary Ann) and Robert (Jane) and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Abernethy Malin and brother James Harrison Lassiter, Jr. A private family service is planned for the summer.
