Jenny, Dana, James and all your family- I am so terribly sorry that I didn’t know Manny was gone until tonight.  He was the one who always called just to chat with me about our folks, and our wonderful “Dunn” relations. I cherish those calls, talking about his spectacular Momma, his hardworking Dad, his special bond with my dad  since they were both “Ira’s”, and how much he loved his family. I always appreciated his practical advice; he was a good listener, he was my friend, he made me laugh. I’m really going to miss answering the phone and hearing “ Hey Cuz, how you doing? I’m sitting up here on this mountain just loving life!” I’m going to miss that good man so very much. Gone too soon.

I have been neighbors with Manny since 2011. I always found that he was always genuine.  We would talk about most anything under the sun!! He definitely loved his family very much and was very proud of his grandchildren. He was very set in his ways and could be stubborn at times but I think he was a fair man as well. I will miss his hearty laugh and his unique since of humor. You will never be forgotten by the Davis Family!! Rest peacefully my brother!!!

Manny was bigger than life.  Played hard and worked hard.  Things got real serious when Manny yelled "MUD"!
He looked out for me when my mouth got out ahead of my brain.  
He was a great friend.  Tenacious.

We will miss Manny coming over sitting on the porch and calling to check on me.
His hollering across the road “Hey Crook 
Or Hey Sue B”

I’ve been Manny’s neighbor for 16 years, and it’s hard to imagine this place without him. I will miss comparing our vegetable gardens, his stories, his laugh, his generosity, and I will even miss all the times he yelled at me for whatever I did to piss him off that day. Manny shared his opinion freely, whether I wanted it or not, but I always appreciated his honesty. Mostly what I learned about Manny was his immense love for his family. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and he talked about them all the time. Manny, thank you for your time, your advice, and teaching me what it means to be a neighbor. You were truly one of a kind and you will be greatly missed.

Dad, thank you for every sacrifice you made to give our family everything we needed. Your strength and determination will always stay with me. Please keep watching over my boys and guiding them whenever they call on you. You were taken from us far too soon, but the impact you’ve had on my life will last forever.

Manny was my lifetime friend. Grew up in Belmont with this guy. Couldn’t ask for a better friend. Will miss him and his once in a while phone call. His voice was unique. You always knew who it was by his voice. It’s a big void in my heart right now. Thinking about you my friend.

I’m so sorry to hear of Manny’s passing.  I grew up with Manny and his family. They lived right next door to us as his dad rented there house from my dad. No matter what Manny could always put a smile on your face. He was always the life of the party. Another Belmont boy gone too soon. My prayers are with his family.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I worked around Manny for many years on different jobs and enjoyed every minute being around him wherever I met him. You always knew he was close by when you heard that voice and he would be giving someone a hard time. He always had some kind of shenanigans going on every time I was on a job with him. I also liked the fact that you knew where you stood with him because he would surely let you know.  A member of the concrete mafia that will surely be missed.

But getting to know him, he was just a Big Ol' Teddy Bear.
But don't get me wrong.You did not want to cross him.
