Janice Linda Circle

Born in Boston on October 12, 1935, Janice was the beloved daughter of the late Gulli L. and Eric B. Borg. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Boston University and dedicated her career to teaching elementary and special education. Her lifelong passion for helping children learn to read touched countless lives.

On June 22, 1968, Janice married Duncan Circle of Kiowa, Kansas. Soon after, they moved to Karlsruhe, Germany, where they lived for three years and traveled to twenty-five countries together. After returning to the United States, they settled in New Jersey, where they welcomed two children, Elizabeth and David.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Pollard, and son-in-law, Matthew Pollard, along with her grandsons, Andrew and Henry Pollard, of Charlottesville, Virginia; her son, David Circle, and his wife, Dilyana, and their daughter, Stella, of Sofia, Bulgaria; and her sister, Irene Hill, of Westwood, Massachusetts.

Janice will be remembered for her joyful spirit, love of family, and deep devotion to teaching and learning.
