Janie Marie Shull, born January 7, 1948, entered eternal rest on October 25, 2025. Janie was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Shull, a daughter “Baby Girl”, a sister Christine Shifflett, a brother Raymond Shifflett, a great grand-daughter Candice Gatling, son-in-law’s Joe Wingfield, Lee Wingfield and Kenneth “Bo” Walton.
Janie is survived by her daughters Angela Wingfield, Sheila Walton, Denise Powell and husband Bruce, a son Jerry “J.J” Shull and significant other April, a sister Cora Hudson, brother Frankie Shifflett, and a special great grand-daughter whom she raised as her daughter, Desiree Gatling.
Janie had 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A special Thank you to Hospice of the Piedmont for the care that was provided.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 3rd at 11am, at Monticello Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hospice of the Piedmont.
