Jason D. Pritchett

Jason David Pritchett Jr., 89, passed away one Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at The Hospice House. He was born on July 25, 1929, the son of the late Jason Pritchett and Bessie Estelle Wood Pritchett. He was also preceded by death, a brother, Cecil Pritchett; three sisters, Mildred Thomas, Pally Dosenberry, and Iris P. Clements. Asfter serving in the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force, he began his career at Jefferson Cable Co. the first Cable Co. of Charlottesville. He went on to work and retire from the Old Va. National Bank. He was a honorable and hard working man way into his late seventies working as a dedicated security officer. Survivors are a daughter, Dawn P. Underwood (Calvin); a son, William J. "Billy" Pritchett; a brother Brice Pritchett and a sister, Cornelia Smith. He was a proud granddad of three, great granddad of six, great great-grand of one, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all of us and remembered as our very own "James Dean". In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made at Hospice of the Piedmont, Hospice House, 501 Park Street MJ Hospital. We the family thank you all for kindness, warmth, and compassion.
