Joyce Broderick

On June 28, 2016 Joyce Ann Broderick left us here heading to a better place. She was born on April 29, 1954 to the late Mary Alice McCauley Moon and Roy Lee McCauley in Charlottesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth McCauley and Robert McCauley; and her sister, Mary Jane Price. She is survived by her eternally loving son Edward McCauley; her wonderful fiancé, Kenneth Kuban; sisters, Shirley Willoughby, Patricia Brown, Rhonda Wilson, Carolyn Shifflett, Janet Snow, and Brenda Moon; brothers, Michael McCauley, and Dean McCauley, two brothers-in-law, Ashby Shifflett and Larry snow; and a sister-in-law, Tonia Starr McCauley. She is also survived by her unofficial son, George Maris, special friend, Tammy Robertson, numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends who will sorely miss her. Special mention to her buddy J.P. Garrison. She attended Northside Baptist Church and believed very strongly in her faith and religion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be send in Joyce’s name to the Hope Center, 690 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 175, Charlottesville, VA 22911. The family would like to give a very special thanks to Martha Jefferson ICU for their kindness and consideration in our time of sorrow and loss. Per her request, there will be no services held in her honor.
