Katrina was born in Germany and grew up in Bad Harzburg, She moved to London in the 1960s and to the United States in the 1970s.
For twenty years she lived in Texas with her husband Richard where she made many steadfast friends. In the last thirty years Charlottesville has been her home, where she will be remembered for her vibrant enthusiasm, involvement in community – neighbors, tennis, swimming – and above all for her courageous zest for life. She will be sorely missed by all those who love her as an integral part of their families in Germany, England, Texas and Charlottesville.
In lieu of flowers for the Wright family the family asks to make a donation in Katrina's memory to St. Labre Indian School 112 St. Labre Way Campus Drive, Ashland Mt. 59003, or The Salvation Army 207 Ridge St. Charlottesville, VA 22902, or The Smithsonian Institute 1000 Madison Drive NW, Washington, DC 20560.
