Kay is preceded in death by her father, Douglas Sims, mother, Elsa Sims Davis, and grandson, Damien Wilkerson.
Kay is survived by her sister Gayle Hatfield, and brother Gary Sims and his wife, Alice.
She is also survived by her three children and seven grandchildren:
Pam Wharton and children Lewis and Jonathan. Rena, husband Mark Gammon and children Stephanie, Noah, and Riley. Neal Wilkerson and children (Damien), Zachary and Cheyenne.
Kay is also survived by five great grandchildren, Willy and Charlie, Tera and Lily, and Ellison.
She loved us all, and she will be deeply missed.
