Laurence Mays Massie

Laurence was born on July 24th, 1935 in Lynchburg, VA. He is survived by his wife Sharlet Massie. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Mayo T. Massie and Kate Mays Massie, four brothers and sisters, Mayo T. Massie, Jr., William T. Massie, Kathryn Massie Durant and Frances Massie Brittingham.

Laurence was a retired Unit Chief, FBI Laboratory Division and a member of Meadows Presbyterian Church, served with the U.S. Air Force in France and was also a member of The FBI Society of Alumni, VAF, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and a longtime volunteer at the Emergency Food Network. While working in the Washington area, Laurence was an employee of The Washington Senators baseball team and The Washington Redskins football team.

A graveside service will be held at Monticello Memory Gardens on February 3rd at 3:30 with Reverend Mike Weiglein presiding. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Meadows Presbyterian Church on a later date.
