Lillian was born on December 8, 1933 in Logan County, West Virginia. She was the youngest daughter of Oscar C. and Anna L. Barker Kirk. She spent most of her adult life in the Chicagoland area, where she met and married the love of her life and raised her two children.
Lillian loved reading mystery novels, playing card games of all kinds, socializing with friends, and singing in her community choir. For the last few years, she lived at Martha Jefferson House in Charlottesville, and the residents and staff describe her as the “life of the party.” Most of all, she was devoted to her family. She would give anything to make the lives of her children and grandchildren better.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Arthur Omori; and her six siblings: Annadell Ellis, Mamie White, Hansel Kirk, Mildred Trent, Estel Kelemen, and Oscar D. Kirk.
Lillian is survived by her children, Greg Omori (Karen) and Jennifer Winchel (R.D.); grandsons, Alex Omori, Colin Omori, and Seth Omori Winchel; and many nieces and nephews, including her niece, Mary Moore (Kirk).
The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the amazing staff at Martha Jefferson House. Their love and care for Lillian have been greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Martha Jefferson House.
