Obituary of Lillie Juanita Morris
Lillie Juanita Wood Morris, 84, of Free Union was called home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2018. She was born on July 31, 1933, in Nelson County to the late Raymond Guy and Edna Pearl Foster Wood. She was preceded in death by her 14 older siblings and her loving, devoted husband of 68 years, Albert F. Morris. She is survived by eight children, Christine and her husband Gene Sandridge, Patsy and her husband Bernard Wyant, Paul and his wife Becky Morris, Glen Morris and Pauline Brown, Jimmy Morris, Pam Miller and her husband Tim Sanford, Kenny Morris, Gary Morris and Daisy Felton; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She married Albert and started her family at a young age, beginning her life as a homemaker, loving wife, and devoted mother. She was a very hard worker who loved to cook and can vegetables grown in their garden. If anyone needed a good, home-cooked meal they knew they could count on “Nita”. Some would say she made the best hamburgers. She was a devoted Christian woman who always saw the good in everyone. She was not only a caretaker for her family but also to her mother-in-law for many, many years. She would always do for others without asking for anything in return. She loved listening to gospel and bluegrass music. You could always find a smile on her face, especially when her grand-, great- and great-great-grandchildren would visit. The siblings will forever be grateful for their two brothers Jimmy and Kenny who took care of her day in and day out. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Free Union Church of the Brethren. Interment will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Teague Funeral Home.
