She is survived by three siblings: Deloris Neice, Carolyn Neice and Jesse Reed. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Ralph F. Overbeck, Jr. They had three children: Ruth Key (Marvin) of Charlottesville, VA, Shannon Overbeck and Alan Overbeck (Kristina) of Mechanicsville, VA. She had three grandchildren: Alexander Overbeck (Abigail), Stephanie Overbeck and Jennifer Overbeck.
She was a career nurse at UVA Hospital, many years as a night supervisor. She was a long-time member of University Baptist Church, involved in many programs and activities in the church and volunteered for Play Partners as a part of the reading program at Barrett Day Care.
