Margaret Jean Napier

Margaret "Jean" Napier, age 87, of Covesville, Virginia passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025. Margaret was born in Schuyler, Virginia to the late Lewis Clement and Margaret Evans. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Napier; her son, Jeffrey Napier; her son-in-law, Randy Bickel; sisters, Gladys, Elsie, Nellie, and Pat; and her brother, George.

For many years of Jean's life, she babysat for local families and grew very close with those families. She enjoyed tending to her indoor plants and could be described as a homebody. Jean admired nature, especially waterfalls and bird watching, specifically hummingbirds she could watch while sitting on her front porch.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Theresa Bickel; granddaughter, Carla Bickel; grandson, Lance Bickel and his wife, Chrissy; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 PM with a service starting at 2:00 PM at Covesville Presbyterian Church, 5531 Covesville Lane, Covesville, VA, 22931. A graveside will immediately follow the service at the Napier Family Cemetery, Broken Sun Rd., Covesville, VA, 22931.
