Mary Melissa Farmer Humphrey

In addition to working as a mail clerk at UVA, Mary loved spending time with her friends and family. She could always be found laughing, helping others, and rooting for all Virginia Tech teams.

Mary is survived by her son James Robert and his wife Christi of Flemington, N.J.; two beloved grandchildren, Kendall and Quinn; three sisters Cindy Gorman, Gail Eatmon, and Carol Farmer; her nieces Michelle, Brianna, Hannah, and Madelyn; her nephew Austin; her cousin Debbie Carter and her family, Ally, Keegan, and Matthew, as well as other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Robin Edwards and her brother Jeff Farmer.

A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at Teague Funeral Home, with inurnment to follow at Hillsboro Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mary will be forever in our hearts.
