Mary Jane was born on September 10, 1943 to the late Lacy and Virginia Mawyer.
Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold Wayne Wood; two children, Debbie and her husband Brian Straway, and Ken and his wife Karen Wood; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kyle, and Kevin Wood, and David Straway; three great grandchildren; her sister Barbara Jean Leake and two brothers, Lacy Jr. and his wife Doris, and Eddie and his wife Brenda.
Mary Jane was a pediatric LPN, a lifelong member of The Moose Lodge (Women of the Moose), and also belonged to The Fraternal Order Of The Eagles. Most importantly, she was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved her dog, Lilo.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, 11am-2:30pm, at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville, Va.
