Mittie M. Dudley

Mittie Elizabeth Morris Dudley passed away at the Laurels of Charlottesville on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the age of 81. Mittie is predeceased by her parents, George Wilbert and Alma Shifflett Morris, her husband, Roy Lee Dudley, and her brothers George Wilbert Morris Jr., Edward Wayne Morris, and Randolph Owen Morris. She is survived by her brother John Wesley Morris and her sister Avis Lorene Morris, along with a host of very special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mittie is lovingly remembered by her children Janet Dudley Belew and her husband Larry, and son Kenneth Wayne Dudley; along with her granddaughter Wendy Leigh Pugh, and her great granddaughter Tanner Fielding Pugh. Mittie was born and raised in Greene County Virginia. She attended Blue Ridge School and the school at Wyatt Mountain. Mittie retired from Coyne and Delaney in 1998. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 1160 Pepsi Place #306, Charlottesville Virginia 22901. The Family would like to give special thanks to Nykeia Washington and Kimberly Bishop, as well as the staff of unit one at the Laurels, for their care and dedication throughout the years. Family will receive friends at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville Virginia 22903, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday August 8, 2014.
