

Okley Homer Pullen, 77, of Charlottesville, passed away on the morning of July 4, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 25 1937 in Culpeper, VA to the late Robert Edward and Lessie Mae Pullen. He was the beloved husband of Sue Pullen for 28 years. Homer loved to fish, and he was an avid Redskins fan. He worked in construction for a number of years before working for Sperry Marine for 10 years as a radar technician. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Sue Pullen; four sons: Okley Pullen, Jr., Jeff Pullen, Butch Pullen, and Scottie Pullen; one daughter: Becky Hoffman; one step-daughter: Kelly Johnson; three sisters: Anna Clatterbuck, Barbara Litten, Myrtle Beasley; one brother: Edward Pullen, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Holly Memorial Gardens, officiated by Preacher Clarence Campbell. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions may make a donation in Homer’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
