Obituary of Pamela "Pam" Lynn Reedy Heron
Pamela Lynn (Reedy) Heron, "Pam” Pamela Lynn (Reedy) Heron, “Pam”, peacefully departed from her earthly life on Friday, May 13, 2022 at home, in Charlottesville, VA surrounded by her loving family. Pam was the second child born to the late William E. & Delores (Kovatch) Reedy on October 9, 1954 in Hickory, PA. Pam was preceded in death by her younger brother, Billy. She is survived by her loving husband, J Raymond (Ray) Heron, and her three sons: Shawn (Brooke), Eric, and Patrick (Charlotte). She was promoted to grandmother in 2005 and has six beautiful grandchildren: Tyler, Jacob, Ainsley, Lily, Evelyn (Evee), and Edward (Eddy). She is survived by her older sister & best friend, Cynthia (Cindy) Reedy of Washington, PA and Ms. Amanda Spigone, the mother of Tyler, Jacob, and Lily Heron, who held a special place in Pam’s heart as well. Also, surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all loved by Pam. Pam snagged her lifelong partner, Ray, after “losing” her earring in his car, which ultimately led to a beautiful marriage in September of 1974 and they’ve never looked back. She graduated from Immaculate Conception (IC) High School in Washington, PA. Pam wore many hats: she was a hairdresser, a florist, and a cable dispatcher for many years, but her best and the most rewarding job was wife to her best friend and a mother to her three very raucous boys. She was an animal lover and would bring home any size animal almost daily. Pam fought and mostly won a battle with Multiple Sclerosis, the disease ravaged her body but was impotent against her spirit. Everyone knew her as beautiful and sweet, the beautiful was certainly accurate, but the sweet belied a feisty and strong-willed character. In accordance with Pam’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial services, instead please send donations, prayers, and remembrances to: Holy Comforter Catholic Church, 208 East Jefferson St. Charlottesville, Virginia 22902; Phone: (434) 295-7185 Email:
