Patricia Butler Reinhardt

Patricia Loveland Butler Reinhardt, 96, passed away in Madison, Virginia, formerly of Charlottesville. Pat was born and raised in Wilmette, Illinois, moving to Kentucky in 1935. Her family then moved to Orlando, Florida, a year later where she completed her grade school years. The family moved back to Illinois where she graduated from Evanston Township High School, in 1946, from Stephens College in 1948 (Associate of Arts), and attended Northwestern University, no degree. She married E. Lewis Reinhardt, in March, 1952. After living in New Orleans, St. Louis, and Austin, Houston, Conroe, Texas (35 years), they retired to Sun City California. Pat worked for the IRS and the US Geological Survey before turning to her favorite vocation of accounting, working for CPA firms for many years. She loved bowling and golf and donated many years with AARP Free Income Tax service, at a G.R.E.A.T. mentor program with a local grade school, and as a volunteer with the Library Literacy Program. She served as treasurer of many social clubs and also as a board member of the Sun City Civic Association. As a widow for many years, she devoted herself to the game of duplicate bridge, as a player, director, and certified teacher. In addition, Pat enjoyed many trips abroad with friends, and several yearly trips to various members of her family. Pat then moved to Virginia in 2010 and became an active resident at the Commonwealth Senior Living facility.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Loveland Butler and Helen Anderson Butler, brothers Willis L. Butler, Jr. and James L. Butler, and husband, E. Lewis Reinhardt. She is survived by daughter Pamela (Scott) Shields, son Thomas (Janet) Reinhardt, Grandchildren, Kylie Reinhardt and Hannah Shields; nieces Linda (Greg) Parkinson and Brenda (John) Conlon, several grand-nephews and grandnieces.
