Robert Gabriel Hawley

Robert married his wife Betty, in December of 1956. A hardworking man, he saved up money to build them their first home where they would later welcome two sons, Robbie and Timmy. Robert worked for the HT Ferron concrete company for nearly 35 years, where he was affectionately known as "the Reverend" by his co-workers. Robert was always eager to share his faith, hand you a gospel tract and invite you to church. His love for the Lord defined his life. He was a faithful member of Colonial Baptist Church.

Robert leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Betty Hawley, two sons; Robbie (Diane) of Charlottesville and Timmy of Crozet, Three grandchildren; Amanda Powell (Robby), Brandon and Samantha Hawley and two great-grandchildren; Ethan and Annelise Powell.

A funeral service will be held at Colonial Baptist Church, Friday at 1PM, officiated by Pastor Leake. A graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery in Charlottesville will immediately follow.
