Tony was a devoted husband, father, and friend who knew no strangers. He was always there for anyone who needed him, and he was always happy to help. Tony was the life of the party; a fun loving comedian who kept everyone laughing. You couldn't help but love being around him - he had a way of making people feel good and reminding you that life should be fun. Tony was a humble man who didn't ask for much but gave a lot.
Tony served his country in the United States Navy from 1975 to 1980 and later worked for the University of Virginia in Facilities Management where he was respected and loved by many colleagues.
Some of Tony's favorite pastimes included riding Harleys with friends and the love of his life, Debbie, hunting, fishing, or just spending time with a cold beer and friends. Tony loved being with his family, his many dear friends, and his beloved dog, Buddy.
Gone but not forgotten, Tony will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Debbie, his son, T.J., his sister, Karen Bibb (Bryant), his cousin and good friend "Little" Ben Shifflett and numerous other nieces, nephews, and many friends. We know he's now watching over us from heaven with his beloved parents, Rose and Richard Ingram.
The family would like to thank the Albemarle-Charlottesville Rescue Squad for their care and support, and the University of Virginia Emergency Room staff for their help and compassion.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 15, 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Teague Funeral Service in Charlottesville, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Holly Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.teaguefuneralhome.com for the Marusak " TJ" family.
