Obituary of Valerie Redieske-Stacik
Valerie Redieske-Stacik, beloved mother of Daniel(Sandra), John(Kelly) and Valerie (Richard Ordway); spouse of Edward Redieske (deceased) and Edward Stacik (deceased). She is survived by her family, younger sister Gertrude, and Valerie’s best friends Anne, Terry and Sr. Thomas Francis, CSJP. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary Magdalen until 2015 when she moved to Our Lady of Peace, Charlottesville, VA to be near her son Daniel and Sandra, grandchildren Christopher (Cryston), Bryan (Maria) and Leah and five great-grandchildren Connor, Colin, Lyla, Brayden and Kayla. She is also survived by her grandchildren Shannon and Ryan and great-grandchild, Thomas. Valerie and Ed Redieske moved from Chicago to the San Fernando Valley, California in 1956. They lived in Granada Hills, Saugus and Panorama City. When Miller Magazine moved to Ventura, CA, she moved with them in 1983 and lived in Ventura County for the next 32 years. She later met and married Ed Stacik in 1990 and became a member of St. Mary Magdalene parish for 25+ years. She was very active in the Church. Valerie was treasurer of the local San Buena Ventura Serra club #82, for over 15 years that is dedicated to promoting vocations to the Priesthood, Catholic Daughters and YLI. She was an EME and sang in the choir who performed for Pope John Paul in Rome. She participated in pilgrimages to Churches in Poland and Italy, attended the Beatification Ceremony of Mother Celine, co-founder of the Sisters of the Resurrection in 2007. She made an annual pilgrimage for over 30 years to Prince of Peace Abbey, Oceanside, CA, for Easter Vigils and celebrations. She was also an Oblate of St. Benedict and Associate to Saint Catherine by the Sea, Holy Cross. She leaves this life with no regrets. It was a great life, a wonderful life as a Catholic woman, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to many. Time: TBA A funeral mass will be said July 21st at the St. Mary Magdalene Chapel, Camarillo, California. Followed by a reception and then internment next to Edward Stacik.
