Born on November 13, 1937, in Waynesboro, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late William Anthony Zampini Sr. and Anna Zampini Anderson. Virginia was married to James (Jim) Mundy for 41 years. She was active in church as her health allowed. She retired from Sperry Marine after more than 30 years of service. She enjoyed volunteering at schools with her grandchildren and became the adopted “Grandmother” to many of their classmates. She loved to garden and bird watch. Virginia loved to laugh and lit up the room. She had a very generous heart and was always ready and willing to help others.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her brother William Anthony Zampini Jr. and her sister Mary Ann Zampini.
Virginia is survived by her son Paul (Eddie) Sandridge Jr. and wife Edith (Anne), her daughter Renee Shifflett and her husband Granville. Her grandchildren, James (Jim) Shifflett and his wife Jessica, Jessica Sandridge, Daniel Shifflett and his wife Bryanna, Tyler Shifflett and his wife Sarah. Great grandchildren, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Shifflett, Tanzi Millard, Curtis (CJ) Mawyer, Hallie Shifflett, John (Jack) Shifflett, Sutton Shifflett, and Isaac Shifflett.
