Wanda Morris Moon

Wanda Morris Moon, 71, of Crozet VA, passed away on September 18, 2026. Wanda was born to Frederick Olson Morris and Thelma Elizabeth McDaniel Morris on May 18, 1955. She grew up in Whitehall VA. She moved to Crozet when she married her husband Wesley Moon, they would have been married almost 40 years before he passed away. She graduated from Albemarle High School and went to work at Acme shortly after. She worked at Coyne and Delany for over 20 years. When she left there she went to work at State Farm, where she worked for over 10 years.

Her greatest pride was her children Mandy K. (Rodney), and Matt (Jennifer), and her grandchildren Emma and Jonathan. She attended Crozet Baptist church regularly and loved her women’s group fiercely. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. She volunteered a lot of her time helping at Crozet Baptist Church and assisting with their food pantry. Her happiest times were when she was with her family, either at home, fishing, watching her Bri Bri or at the beach.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wesley W. Moon, both parents Frederick and Thelma Morris, her mother in law Evelyn Maupin. She is survived by her children Amanda Rich (Rodney), and Matthew Moon (Jennifer Roach), her two grandchildren Emma Evans and Jonathan Rich. She is also survived by her sister Donna Davis (Dabney) and Dillard Morris (Kim), her niece Angela Comisford, her nephew Josh Davis (Abby), the Franklin family and numerous nephews, nieces and a multitude of cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on October 10 at 11:00 AM at Crozet Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Crozet Baptist Church in memory of Wanda Moon.
