Warren Eugene Ragland Sr.

Warren Eugene Ragland Sr., 72, passed away January 3, 2016 at his home in Charlottesville. He was born on April 1, 1943 in Albemarle County to the late William Ragland and Willie L. Smith Ragland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings John, Frank and Barbara; two grandsons, Stevan and Samuel-Lawrence Ragland; and son-in-law, James Braxton. He attended Louisa County Schools. He was employed by Milner Motors. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Augustine E. Ragland of Charlottesville; sons, Samuel L. Ragland Sr. (Jacqueline) of Louisa, Warren E. Ragland Jr. (Michelle) of Fluvanna, Warren Blakey (Kishi Smith) of Charlottesville; daughter, Tina L. Walker of Charlottesville; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, William L. Ragland of Stanardsville, Robert Ragland (Barbara) of Columbia, SC, Nathaniel Ragland Sr. (Priscilla) of Fredericksburg; devoted brother-in-law, Emanuel Woodfolk (Marilyn) of Keswick; sister-in-law, Mildred Woodfolk of Charlottesville; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Light House Church, 3460 Worth Crossing, Charlottesville, VA 22911. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Emily Couric Cancer Center.
