Wayne Allen Raines

Wayne Allen Raines 64, of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away unexpectedly August 21, 2020 at the Cedars Nursing Home. Wayne was born October 28, 1955, a son of the late Lelia Blackwell Raines and surviving Albert Raines. In addition to his mother, Wayne was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Linda Faye Raines on July 13, 2020. He is survived by his father and step mother Betty Raines of Crozet, VA; his sisters, Audrey Dimarco of Charlottesville, VA and Karen Eppard of Virginia Beach, VA; his brother Dale Raines of Charlottesville, VA; his nephews Chris Humphreys, Brian Shifflett (Amanda), Michael Shifflett and his nieces Jessica Eppard and Britney Bailey. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a special aunt Nellie Sandy of Stuarts Draft, VA. Wayne worked for many years at Martha Jefferson Hospital and later years at Morton/Con Agra Frozen Foods in Crozet. Wayne loved his family, Elvis, country music (Bobby Bare, Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter)and NASCAR. Wayne always had a compassionate and giving heart, but would also without hesitation would let you know what he had to say. Matthew 25:23: "His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord”.
