

The world has lost an amazing soul, William Michaux Grant a local businessman, a mentor to many and a friend to all, died November 28, 2021 at his home in Charlottesville, Virginia with his adoring wife Marie Elena Grant by his side. He was 78.
Born April 27, 1943 in Richmond, Virginia to James Henry Grant IV and Elsie Michaux Grant. Michaux attended St Christopher School in Richmond, Virginia and Hargrave Military Academy Chatham, VA.
Michaux was the owner/operator of Mic-Pac Services, a Landscaping and General Contracting company which he founded in 1985. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church. He loved to travel, play golf and be with his friends and family by the water, either at the pool or on a beach. Most days during the week you could find Michaux volunteering his time at All Blessings flow giving back to his community.
He will be remembered for his good natured humor, his entertaining stories, his unfailing work ethic, his generous smile, and his willingness to come at any time day or night to help a friend. He survived by his wife Marie Elena Grant, his son William Michaux Grant, Jr. and wife Heather Jenkins Grant, his daughter Patricia Grant Alexander and husband Luther John Alexander, his stepson Jarrell Matthew Whitfill and wife Heather Faith Whitfill, and his 6 beloved grandchildren, Taylor, Grant, William, Olivia, Sadie, and Stella.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, at 2 pm, at First Presbyterian Church, 500 Park Street, Charlottesville, VA, 22902. A time of gathering and fellowship will follow the service.
