Jones, William R., January 8, 2015 - Died peacefully at home. Beloved husband of 30 years to Lori (Pellis); dearest father to Joshua Lenard, Kerri (Mike) Vernon, Jennifer (Kent) Rogers, Chad (Dana) Jones; loving grandfather to Trevor, Sydni, Chase and Sienna; brother to Robert (Pat) Jones. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a dedicated branch manager at Wonder Bread and received numerous awards during his 30 years of employment. He ended his work career assisting special needs students in the Albemarle County Schools. Bill was an avid golfer, attended many UVA sporting events with his good friend, Wes and enjoyed umpiring baseball for Cove Creek and the high school league. Thanks to UVA Cancer Center and Hospice of the Piedmont. A special thank you to Hospice nurse, Luis and Continuum Home Health nurse, Becky. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Teague Chapel, 2260 Ivy Road. Donations may be made to WoundedWarriorProject.org.
