Charlotte was born September 18, 1935, in Niantic, IL, the daughter of Charles E. and Goldie P. Lloyd Marsh. She married Ray Dexheimer on October 6, 1966, in Mt. Sterling, IL; he preceded her in death.
Charlotte graduated from Niantic-Harristown High School and was employed at Pillsbury Mills until 1991. She then went to work at the Chatham Township until her retirement in 1996. Charlotte was a member of Chatham United Methodist Church, AARP, Queen of the Red Hat Society, and former board member of Chatham Senior Center. She enjoyed crafts, camping in Litchfield, and fishing.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; companion, Glenn Summer; and siblings, Lavada Gray, Rosemary Ross, Charles Lee Tippet, Archie Tippet, and Pearl Tippet.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Koki (Art) Gephart of Chatham, Robin Gunning of Toluca, Robert V. Pride, Jr. of Chatham, Ed (Bobbi) Summer of MO, Paul (Patt) Summer of Chatham, and Glenda (Bill) Banta of FL; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Chatham United Methodist Church, 104 W. Chestnut St., Chatham, IL. A memorial ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Miriam Snider officiating.
Cremation care will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
Burial will be held at a later date at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chatham Fire Department or Chatham United Methodist Church.
