

Doug was born on June 3, 1945, in Peoria, Illinois, to Clarence and Iola Ivers.
He married Carla Frank on March 31, 1969, in Peoria.
Doug was a graduate and tennis player of Peoria High School and Bradley University. He was a physical education teacher early in his career. After receiving his master’s degree, he became a Director of Human Resources.
Doug loved playing tennis, pickle ball, looking at cars, playing games, spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, and spending time with his family. Doug never met a stranger. He had a great smile, laugh, sense of humor, awful dad jokes, and off beat dance moves.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Ivers; children, Ryan (Teri) Ivers; Brett (Dawn) Ivers, and Courtney (Scott) Cannon; grandchildren, Jackson (Shaley), Rylee, Paige, and Tatum; brother, Craig (Linda) Ivers; sister-in-law, Leeann Quillan; brother-in-law, Rick (Sharon) Frank; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private memorial gathering will be held for immediate family at a future date.
