He was born on November 15, 1962, in Rockford, the son of Donald Wooten and Betty (Claudy) Pickett.
Jeff attended Hillsboro High School. He went on to work as a commercial lawn specialist for TruGreen. Jeff was a member of the Chatham community for over 15 years. He was a hard worker who was loved by and helpful to his neighbors and customers. Jeff enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling, attending Motorheads Bar & Grill, spending time with friends, and listening to rock-n-roll.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wooten; paternal & maternal grandparents; paternal uncles; and maternal aunts.
Jeff is survived by his daughters, Cheyanne and Olivia Hentzien, and their mother, Shelly Hentzien, all of Morrisonville; his mother, Betty (Floyd) Pickett of CO; siblings, Donnie Hentzien and Vicki (Robert) Casados, both of CO, and Tim (Shannon) Lewellen of LA; step-siblings, Marty (Thea) and Jim Pickett, both of CO, Pam Daugherty (Scott) of WY, Tracy (Leslie) and Mick (Teresa) Pickett, both of CO, and Vicki (Dave) Beam of Iowa; godson, Derek Davidson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham, 8855 State Rt. 4, Chatham. A Memorial Ceremony will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Wagahoff officiating.
The family will be setting up an educational fund for Jeff’s daughters.
