She was born in Springfield on September 8, 1949, the daughter of William and Margery Shaudis.
Margery worked for the State of Illinois before retiring in 2009. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping on QVC and reading a good book. Above all, Margery cherished time spent with her beloved family and pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Terry Lamsargis; and brothers-in-law, James Davis and Daniel Lamsargis.
Margery is survived by her sons, Tommy Lamsargis (Crystal) and their son, Mason, and Matt Lamsargis (Shawna) and their children, Anna and Ian; and sister, Carol Davis and her two sons: Brian and Chris
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home- Chatham, 8855 State Rt. 4, Chatham, with Judy Woerner officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League and/or Sangamon County Animal Control & Adoption Center.
