Mark Wayne Morris

He was born on July 25, 1960, in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Ronald G. and Barbara (Throneburg) Morris. Mark married Cynthia “Cindy” Norman on May 30, 1981, in Casey, IL.

Mark graduated from Casey High School and earned his associate’s degree from Lakeland College. He went on to work as a mail carrier for the USPS, retiring in 2024. After retirement, he worked as a school bus monitor. Mark attended both St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and West Side Christian Church, and was on the Ball Township Trustee Board. He loved spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren), watching family members play sports, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, and was a big sports memorabilia collector.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mark is survived by his wife, Cindy Morris of Chatham; daughter, Holly Miller of Pleasant Plains; son, Ty (Meghan) Morris of Rochester; grandchildren, Laura (Preston), Jackson, Izzy, Jayde, Clayton Wayne, and Logan; one great-grandchild, Oliver; and brother, Mike Morris.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Chatham Baptist Church, 1500 E. Walnut St., Chatham, followed by the Funeral at 5:00 p.m., with Pastor Milton Bost officiating.

Graveside Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
