Nancy E. Barry

She was born on March 25, 1947, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Clarence Jr. and Wilma (Meyer) Chandler. Nancy married Kenneth L. Barry on February 28, 1981, in Chatham.

Nancy graduated from New Berlin High School and attended Western Illinois University. She went on to work as an accountant for the Illinois State Police, from which she retired. Nancy was a faithful member of Chatham Christian Church and a board member of the Illinois State Police Federal Credit Union. She enjoyed working in her yard, being with her grandchildren, and keeping a clean house.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Larry Chandler.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Kenneth Barry of Chatham; daughter, Tracy (Chad) Formea of Chatham; step-daughter, Robin (Mark) Hayes of Cantrall; step-son, Ken (Deb) Barry of Missouri; grandchildren, Reagan (fiancé, Joey Yelenick) Formea and Cooper Formea of Chatham; and sister-in-law, Kaye Chandler of Mt. Zion, IL.

The family would like to thank her dear and faithful friend Sandy McKinnon, for her daily visits and assistance.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Chatham Christian Church, 9897 S. Main St., Chatham, followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Wenneborg officiating. Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Loami.
