

She was born in Chicago on November 7, 1944, the daughter of William E. and Phyllis (Rowe) Barton.
Sharon was a 1962 graduate of Fenger High School. For more than 30 years, she worked as a bookkeeper at Endodontic and Periodontic Associates, Ltd., until her retirement. She was a recipient of the Christifidelis Award on October 26, 2014, at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, presented by His Eminence Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago. Sharon was a faithful member and greeter of St. Lawrence O'Toole Parish. She gave generously to others, serving as a Minister of Care from December 2002 until Covid in 2020, volunteering at PADS Homeless Shelter, and fostering dogs with the Humane Society. She loved animals, especially feeding birds, ducks, and squirrels in her backyard.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Julie (Robert) Chellios and Jill (Todd) Kilby; granddaughter, Caitlin (Kurt) Unger; and great-grandchild, Fynn Unger.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
In the spirit of Sharon, the family will make a donation in lieu of a ceremony.
The family will host a graveside service at a later date at Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park.
