Just learned of Berjouhi's death.  She was a wonderful help to me when my son entered West Point a year after her son.  I will always be grateful.

Hello to Charlene, Phil and Jeff: I was sadden to hear about Berjouhi from my colleagues in Simsbury. She was a beautiful person and I was blessed by her friendship. We taught together for more than ten years as members of the World Language Department at Simsbury High School and Henry James Middle School. Berjouhi's passion for teaching Latin lead to an outstanding program that continues to draw high student enrollments to this day! May she join her beloved Arthur in Our Father's Heavenly Kingdom and rest in eternal love.

Berjouhi was one of the greatest teachers and friends.  She was oh so proud of her Armenian heritage and was so happy and excited to share her language and culture with my son Jim.  They spent years meeting after school learning to speak, read and write Armenian. What a wonderful gift she shared!  She will be so very missed.

I am deeply saddened with the sudden loss of Berjouhi, especially coming so soon after Arthur's death. Berjouhi was a master teacher and was reason the study of Latin flourished at Simsbury High School.  She was so enthusiastic about the classics, the study of languages, and history. She also had the wonderful quality of the great teachers who sincerely care for each of their students.  She and Arthur became great friends to Judy and me.  We have great memories that will forever be in our hearts.  For Phil, Jeff, and Charlene and the entire family, we are thinking of you  and send our warmest regards.

hello to Charlene, Jeffrey and Philip,

I am Pat Mcphee Frost who graduated high school with Berjouhi. We used to walk each other home from school talking all the way sometimes walking between our two homes multiple times the same afternoon because we hadn't finished talking. 
 Charlene I remember your mother's pregnancy, car accident and your healthy birth though I know you had sufferring later on.
 Jeffrey and Philip, I met you when you were old enough to come with your mother to meet me for lunch in Reading. You were handsome and well behaved even then.
 Your Mom was truly one of my first really dear friends because she was so kind and perceptive and just plain fun to be around.
 After our 50th we finally made definite plans to get together as we had always stayed in touch with cards and letters and of course pictures. We were foiled by mother nature most harshly.
 I will always cherish my memories of Berjouhi and Arthur too...because wherever she was, he was once they became smitten.
  In junior high, Berjouhi ran for a class office and won by the way.  Her speech was riveting! She talked about when she first came to this country and how glad she was to be growing up here.
But the piece de resistance was her comical explanation of learning that "onion" is not spelled union and that likewise "union" is not spelled union.
I can hear her explaining as if it were just yesterday.
 Wrap your memories tight around you and don't let any days go by without being with loved ones and doing what you love.
 I regret terribly we let too much time go by.

My heartfelt condolences to Berjouhi and Arthur's family. I was blessed to have volunteered with Berjouhi at the MFA and to have shared many happy hours with her there, including celebrating with her and Arthur at the annual volunteer evening. I will miss her very much, especially her endless joy and optimism. I will miss learning from her. I will miss hearing about her wonderful visits with her family and looking through her photos. You were all so precious to her.  May your  memories bring you comfort and peace.

Condolences to Berjouhi's family. We will miss her smile and good conversation at our RMHS reunions.

Berjouhi was a new friend of mine, one with whom I quickly formed a bond of friendship which I looked forward to growing in warmth and depth.  We shared many things, including a heritage of which we were very proud.  Berjouhi's warmth glowed from within -- and one immediately knew she was a special person.  Our sincere sympathies to her family for their huge and unexpected loss.  We are in mourning with you.

I am so saddened by Berhouhi's sudden passing.  She was one of our favorite people at St Christopher's, always with a warm smile on her face, kind words, and a wonderful sense of humor.
