

Bruce W. Devlin, 69, of Chatham, MA, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Bruce was born February 28, 1957, in Hyannis, MA. He was the beloved son of Gerard Devlin, Sr. and the late Marlene (Bassett) Devlin.
Bruce was raised in Chatham and attended local schools. He was a 1975 graduate of Chatham High School. Bruce continued his education, becoming a graduate of the esteemed Roger Williams University in Bristol RI. He went on to establish his own Architect business, Devlin Custom Design.
Bruce will be remembered as a talented Architect with an artistic and creative mind. He was incredibly gifted and enjoyed drawing and painting. Bruce was a Pyrotechnician throughout all New England. Highlights of his pyrotech career included fireworks at Gillette Stadium and The Rolling Stones concert. In his youth he enjoyed motorcycles and truly “lived in the moment”. He will be loved and remembered for his love of life, creative mind and sense of humor.
Bruce is survived by his father Gerard Devlin, Sr. and his brothers, Gerard Devlin, Jr and wife, Deborah and Stephen Devlin and wife, Cindy and his siter-in-law Gina. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Jessica and husband, Dan, Amanda and husband Josh, Jay and wife Jackie, Ryan and wife Morgan, Timothy, John and wife, Anna and Scott. Bruce also leaves behind grand nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his loving Mother, Marlene and his brother, Lester.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 27, 2026, from 4:00-6:00PM at The Nickerson Funeral Home 87 Crowell Rd. Chatham, MA. A private graveside committal will be held at Seaside Cemetery in Chatham. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Bruce’s name to the Chatham Fire Rescue Department.
