Born and raised in Massachusetts, Cynthia spent her youth dedicated to serving others through her active involvement in local charities and the Kiwanis club. She later poured that same passion into her family and her community on Cape Cod. Alongside her devoted husband, Peter, Cynthia successfully ran the family antique business in Chatham, a cherished local landmark that has been in her family since 1956 and continues to be managed by Peter today.
Cynthia will be remembered for her sharp eye for history, her generous spirit, and her deep love for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Peter Demos; her son, George Demos, and his wife, Melissa Demos; as well as a community of extended family, neighbors, and dear friends. May her memory be eternal.
Family and friends are invited to attend her services on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the Nickerson Funeral Home, located at 87 Crowell Road, Chatham, MA. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, immediately followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
A graveside burial procession will follow the service at Union Cemetery in Chatham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cynthia’s honor to the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, MA 02472.
