CHATHAM – Edward “Ed” F. Forgeron, 79, of Chatham passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on April 20th. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia (Griffin) Forgeron, and four children; daughter Colleen (Forgeron) Beaudoin and her husband Philip of Harwich, and three sons; Edward and his wife Jerrie of Sparta, MI; Kevin of Chatham and Rick of Chatham. He was predeceased by his son Fred. He is also survived by two sisters; Ethel Porter and Rita Terrio, and a brother Jack, all of Chatham; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Born in Chatham, Dec. 7, 1932, Ed graduated from Chatham High School in 1950. He owned a building business for many years in Chatham and was an accomplished cabinet builder. Ed played baseball for the original Chatham Town Team from 1950-53 and he was an avid Boston sports fan. Ed will be remembered for his smile, sense of humor and love of family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, April 24th at the Holy Redeemer Church in Chatham. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery on Rt. 28 in Chatham and all are invited to a reception, immediately after at the Chatham VFW, 150 George Ryder Road, W. Chatham.
