Jacqueline A. Carsey

November 22, 1930 – February 17, 2022
Obituary of Jacqueline A. Carsey
IN THE CARE OF

Nickerson Funeral Home

Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Anne Jane Carsey, age 91, of Chatham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2022. She was born in New York, New York on November 22, 1930 to Mabel Burger and William Carsey. Jackie had two older brothers, John Jay ‘Jack’ and Robert ‘Bobby’, whom she loved dearly.

Despite growing up in Manhattan during the Great Depression, she was a happy child and as a young adult worked as a Librarian. She later married and moved to New Jersey where she had her two daughters, Cary, and the late Kimberly Baumlin. Jackie moved her family in the 1960s to Chatham, Massachusetts where she lived out her life and was a beloved member of her community. She was an animal rights activist and served as an Animal Crusader for the state of MA. Jackie had a generous heart, wonderful sense of humor, and a jazzy sense of style. She had compassion for all and would light up a room with her happy presence. She will be missed immensely.

Jackie is survived by her daughter Cary Lofland and three grand children, Kate Goodwin, Lindsey Goodwin and Amy Vause.
