She leaves behind her sons, James Vomacka (Boni Edwards) and Christopher Vomacka (Julie Vomacka), her daughter Martha Geuss (Detlev Geuss), her grandchildren Kyle Decker and Caleigh Decker; and her nephews Michael Gorajec (Sharon Gorajec) and Joseph Gorajec. Janice was born in Holyoke, MA, and resided in Chicopee, MA, until she married. She raised four children, each born in different northeast towns, including Utica, NY, Attleboro, MA, Wallingford, CT, and Clifton Park, NY. After settling in upstate New York, she followed her passion and opened a thriving antique and home décor shop named The Saratoga Trunk in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. After her children set off on their endeavors, Janice started a new chapter in her life and moved to Boston, MA, where she worked for the Harvard School of Public Health. Janice loved city life and enjoyed her daily walks in Back Bay and Beacon Hill and visits to Neiman Marcus and the Museum of Fine Arts. After her retirement, she settled in the quaint seaside town of Chatham on Cape Cod. There she created a beautiful family home where her children, grandchildren, and extended family and friends gathered often.
The memorial service will be private.
