Jay was a kind, intelligent, compassionate, and generous man who was deeply loved by his family and many friends. A lifelong lover of travel and geology, Jay had a natural curiosity about the world and a deep appreciation for the beauty and complexity of the earth beneath it. Fittingly, he was the rock of his family, the person everyone could depend on for strength, wisdom, and unwavering support. Jay and his wife, Kathy, cherished their retired life together on Cape Cod and the beautiful loving home they created, which was the center of many fun-filled gatherings for friends and family.
Jay’s steady presence, gentle nature, and caring heart touched all who knew him. Above all, he was devoted to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kathy; his children, Jarvis and Jenny; and his mother, Judy. He also leaves many relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure his kindness, wisdom, and steadfast love.
Jay’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and a life devoted to family and friendship. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
There will be no funeral service. A celebration of Jay’s life will be held at a later date.
