There are no words that can express the void left by such a man as JP. He brought light and warmth into the lives of everyone who knew him. JP was always kind and ready to help. He made everyone feel special, a gentleman to the core. 
Thank you, JP, for all that you gave to us. You will be missed.

As all have stated before me, what a gentleman who’s smile and steps deposited such a positive energy. We were blessed to have him in our lives.

Dear JP I'm so sorry to see you go.  Invariably warm, friendly and cheerful. He was a great help to many in town.

JP was  a classmate at Dean Junior College.  I remember him as being very outgoing and friendly.  I am saddened by the news of his passing and am thinking of all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.  My thoughts and prayers are with all who knew him as a dear friend,
brother,  or companion.  Rest in peace JP.

So very sorry for your loss. I went to Dean with JP and shared a lot of good times. He was a great guy who everyone loved.

I first met my neighbor JP after a huge snowstorm when he showed up at my house with his bucket loader to clear out my driveway. I couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor.  He was always willing to help out with any projects around my place. Rest in peace friend.

J. P. was always ready to help anyone and everyone who needed it.  We saw him everywhere in Chatham, and he always greeted us with his special smile and "Hey! How ya doing?"  We will all miss him--a true Chatham icon.

JP, such a great guy. I believe we first met over 40 years ago. It’s hard to believe. JP was always such a gentleman and such a wonderful man, a very kind heart with a strong sense of community and love and loyalty for his friends. We use to hang out with various friends “back in the day”. JP was always fun and loved doing anything outdoors . He will truly be missed by so many. RIP JP ❤️

JP, it is with profound sadness that is felt in reading that you are no longer with us. You were a great guy and a good friend to many.  You will be missed greatly. I pray that you are resting in the Lords arms and have found peace. Rest easy my friend. May we all meet again some day.

I am struggling for adjectives worthy of a man I’d like to say was my friend. Anyone fortunate to know him would agree that he expressed an interest in his friends and neighbors that was unmatched. When you turned a corner and ran into JP you were met with a genuine greeting that would change your day. I am thankful for a few great memories that withstand the passage of time. They are the moments when you witness someone in their element. Driving in off of Crowell Road to see him working the cranberry bog is a perfect example.  JP dug the foundation for the first building I attempted on my own. It was largely a favor and he knew it would help me get a start. He was a true gentleman and personified so much of what makes Chatham a great place. So happy to have shared time with him. Rest In Peace.

I will forever remember JP fondly. He was one of the friendliest people I have ever met.

JP was one of the first people our family met when we moved to Chatham year round, and right away we could tell what an amazing person he was. 

We'll miss JP's friendly daily waves from across the street, quick chat's as he was driving by or as we were both getting mail and for sure our two pups will most definitely miss the milk bones he carried with him at all times!

JP was the consummate gentleman, always approachable and friendly. He was never too busy that he couldn't stop and talk for a few minutes. His good nature made him the perfect ambassador to the airport, during his time on the commission. His passing is a loss for the whole town.
