Peter Taggart Schock Jr.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Peter Schock Jr. on July 28, 2026. He passed peacefully with his wife Caroline and trusted medical providers at his side, after fighting significant health challenges. Beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Pete was born on July 26, 1988 and lived his life with passion, joy, and brilliance in all ways.

Pete was a devoted husband to Caroline. They reconnected in 2018 after being childhood friends, and married in 2020. In their time together, they pursued many adventures in the mountains or on the water, and shared a great love for each other and their life with their dog Pogy.

After graduating from Norwood High School, Pete attended Webb Institute before completing his Bachelor’s degree at UMass Dartmouth, where he took great pride in his role as student trustee. He later completed his MBA at Boston College while working full time. His dedication to his work continued through his time at Pisces in Chatham, Dell/EMC, and most notably in recent years, Boston Consulting Group.

Outside of work, Pete enjoyed life to its fullest. His great passions were cooking at home or on the beach with family and sharing his hobbies with those he loved in all seasons. Fishing, skiing, golfing all captured his heart and sense of adventure.

Whether it was catching a 300 lb tuna in a 24 ft boat, fishing for striper or black sea bass offshore of Chatham, skiing in New Hampshire or out West, or spending an afternoon on the golf course, he was passionate about the outdoors, and in particular sharing it with his nephews and nieces in teaching them to fish, ski and above all, enjoy life outside. Pete also loved being an active member of his communities at Eastward Ho! and Stage Harbor Yacht Club in Chatham.

Pete is survived by his wife Caroline, parents Mary & Peter Schock Sr, siblings JJ Schock (Stephanie) and Katherine Bainbridge (Ben), nieces and nephews and a litany of extended family and friends who love him very much.

Dr. Curry was Pete’s most trusted medical caregiver over the years, and we are honored to support his continued research.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Pete’s life during Visitation on Wednesday, August 5th at the Nickerson Funeral Home, 87 Crowell Rd, Chatham, MA from 4-7pm, A Funeral mass will be held at the Holy Redeemer Church, 57 Highland Ave, Chatham, MA at 10am on Thursday, August 6th. There will be a private burial at a later date.
