Richard T. Peabody

He was born on January 11, 1929 to John and Rita (Cannon) Peabody in Rockland, MA. He graduated from Rockland High School, and after serving in the United States Army in Germany, earned a bachelor's degree from Bentley College. He was self-employed as a CPA for many years in Whitman, MA and on Cape Cod. After retirement, he enjoyed travel, photography and nature walks.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth (Stokinger) Peabody, his children Judith McCabe and husband Stephen of East Bridgewater, Richard of Chatham, and Teresa of Chatham. He was predeceased by his daughter Kathleen.

Richard is also survived by his grandson Jacob Heath and his wife Meg of Illinois, and granddaughter Jessica Pelz and her husband Joe of Florida, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A private burial is planned.
