Rune Borgman, 85, of Harwich, beloved husband of Marion S. Borgman and father of Dana, Cathleen and Tom Borgman, passed away on May 11 after a brief illness. Rune was born on June 7, 1928 in Valdemarsvik, Sweden.

Rune was retired from Bridgeport Machines, Inc., where he had met his future wife of 59 years. He was a master machinist and craftsman, as well as a tireless volunteer, serving many years with the Boy Scouts, the Lions Club, Junior Achievement and the Vasa Order. In addition to his immediate family, Mr. Borgman leaves daughters-in-law: Carolyn Borgman, Cindy Borgman, grandchildren: Emily, Daniel and Erin Borgman of Connecticut and Katie Borgman of Virginia as well as several loved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents Emanuel and Fanny and a brother, Hans, all of Sweden.

His kindness and generosity of spirit were truly an inspiration to all. He was one of a kind and will be profoundly missed by all those who knew him.

Mrs. Borgman, Tom, Cathy and Dana;

I just learned of Mr. Borgmans' passing and though saddened by the news it stirred many wonderful memories.
Mr. Borgman actually convinced me as a young man to continue with scouts during the Weblos program.
When I was considering dropping out it was he who convinced me to stick with it.
As Tom knows we went on to become Eagle Scouts. I will never forget that moment in the church basement for as long as I live.
He was a wonderful man who had a wonderful family.
Your Dad was a warm and guiding spirit who influenced me as a person and left an everlasting impression on my life.
Very sorry to hear of your loss.
From the entire Stevens Family,

Glenn

Dear Marion,
We were saddened to learn of Rune's passing. He was always a fine gentleman to all. Rune was very helpful to our fledgling company (O'Keefe Controls Co) both as an advisor about Bridgeport Machine Co. milling machines and as a customer for some of our products. Pease express our sympathy to your children.

at Bridgeport machine days. He was well respected by all and certainly me.
As you may know, my Jeanne passed away
