Allison LeAnn “Ali” DeFriese, 37, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away January 28, 2015 in Nashville. A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she moved to Nashville eight years ago. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville where she earned two B.S. degrees and her Masters. She was a member of the Woodland Park Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman and loved canoeing and hiking, She was preceded in death by her father, Laban Rae DeFriese, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Longley; paternal grandmother Mary Ann Palmer; paternal grandfather Laban DeFriese, Sr.. Survivors include her parents, John and Candace TeHennepe, Chattanooga; sister, Amanda Rae DeFriese, Grandview, TN; grandfather, James Earl Longley, Chattanooga; several Aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, on February 8, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bob Dasal officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday before the service at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road
