Evangelist Alice Denise Toney

She was a Business Owner for 23 years, owning her own company, A-Z Cleaning Enterprise; she was also a Gospel Singer, who ministered and blessed many with her beautiful voice!

Evangelist Toney was preceded in death by her father, Willie James Anderson; mother, Evelyn Page; siblings, Ernest Lee Davis, Patricia Davis and Prophetess Pastor Bobbie Anderson; and niece, Pamela Duvall.

Those Evangelist Toney leaves to cherish her memories include her sons, Joe Anderson and Roderick Anderson; daughter, Angela Anderson Haslerig; stepson, Gerald Toney; stepdaughter, Felicia Toney Reed; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Alexis Cothern and De'Sean Anderson; 8 great grandchildren, all of Chattanooga, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Evangelist Alice Toney was a member of Jesus Crusade Outreach Ministries; she also received the Spirit of the Lord at a very young age. Evangelist Alice Toney was a very loving person with a huge heart and she would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.

There wasn't a time that you would call and she wouldn't answer, whether it was for help, needing a favor, just to talk or just for her to pray with you.

She was also in a few Gospel groups throughout her life, The Gospel Fires, The Echo's of Heaven with the late Rev. Ray Moore -which she also recorded a cd, The Gospel Humanizers and the Women of Praise. She has also sung solo as well at many church functions when needed.

Evangelist Toney was also a Minister, she was a hard-working woman not only job wise but also for the Lord; she did a lot of eulogies and preached at several churches over the years.

Evangelist Toney was a phenomenal woman of God who will truly be missed, she touched a lot of people's hearts and she was loved and appreciated by so many; she will be missed, the world has lost another angel.

Evangelist Toney has gained her wings, and she is in a better place with the father; she has no more pain, no more suffering or struggles, because she was called home. It was sudden, but it was all in God's plan, her work here is done and she can rest in eternal bliss and rejoice . Evangelist Toney would say to us all don't be sad, be happy because she is with God Almighty and she prays we all be ready when it is our time, because we know not the time nor the hour when the sun will set on our lives; so live well and she will see us again one day.

Evangelist Toney will Lie-in-State on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm.

The Committal Service will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East, 4621 Shallowford Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37411.
